:|: Review :|: Sparkle Baby and @#$%!

Like all the Sugarpill Babettes, I knew of the 'up to 50% off' Black Friday 'Black Weekend' sale from Sugarpill. It was one of their biggest sales to date and I am very surprised their entire stock wasn't sold out before the end of the sale. I wasn't personally able to take advantage of this amazing sale but fate just so happens that I am born two weeks before Thanksgiving & Black Friday and I am blessed with a best friend who decided to spoil me as a belated birthday present.

The purchase was made on December 3rd and it arrived today, December 13th. That's a very good turn-around time considering the volume of orders the company was most likely experiencing.

I received the Sparkle Baby palette, the Limited Edition shadow @#$%!, a Tako refill as well as my first Bulletproof. As I said in my previous review post, I love all my Sugarpill products. That love extends to this new palette already, even just by swatching the shadows.

The description for the Sparkle Baby palette describes it as a, "A high-glitz eyeshadow collection for living dolls. Ultra girly, shimmery shades to satisfy your sweet tooth!"

I agree 100%. This whole palette screams Princess and is like a make-up version of a cupcake for your eyes; or face depending on the type of look you're creating.

Kitten Parade:
A deep peach shimmer with a hint red apple tinting mixed with the peach. It shows up best over a white base, like the NYX J.E.P in Milk.
"Delicious shimmery peach with opulent golden sheen. Blends seamlessly with any skin tone AND makes the prettiest cheek highlighter! Your new everyday go-to shade."
 From the Sugarpill website.

I give it five hearts!

Hotsy Totsy:
This is a deep blush-pink with hints of baby-pink sparkle. Very easy to blend and can also be used as a blush, if you're so inclined.
"Sweet magenta with iridescent fairy sparkles. Doubles as a cheek color!"
  From the Sugarpill website.

I give it five hearts!

Frostine: (Vegan)
A pale lavender with soft-pink sparkle that blends like a dream. Looks best over a white base, just like Kitten Parade. It is very sheer so depending on what you're going for you might need a few layers of it.
"Frosty pastel lavender for the sweetest of angels. Makes a perfect inner corner eye highlight!"
From the Sugarpill website.

I give it four hearts because the color payoff has to be built with over 3 layers.

CandyCrush:(Vegan)
A frosty, mint green color with an even lighter sparkle scattered within it. It looks best over a white base and is very sheer, just like Frostine. Multiple layers are required to get a good color payoff.
"Glistening mint pearl." From the Sugarpill website.

I give it four hearts because the color payoff has to be built with over 3 layers.

@#$%!:
A gorgeous red with a pearlescent silver sheen. The color payoff is instance and is still build-able if you'd like a stronger, bolder effect.

"@#$%! is a vampy pearl red with silver metallic sheen."
From the Sugarpill website.

I give it five hearts!

Bulletproof: (Vegan)
The perfect matte black that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. It's very creamy and has incredible color payoff. It also blends superbly and can even be lightly dusted on as a soft, smokey grey.

"Deepest matte black with extraordinary pigmentation and lasting wear."
 From the Sugarpill website.

I give it five hearts!

You can grab this baby up for yourself here for $34.00 (USD). Don't want the whole palette? You can also by each shadow individually. Each one is $12.00 (USD).

:|: Review :|: Cold Chemistry

This is a long time in coming! I've had my Cold Chemistry palette since March of this year. As usual with Sugarpill the shipping was quick, I received it within four days with a sample of Goldilux, a gorgeous sticker of the brand name and one of their inserts with the photo-shoot promo for Cold Chemistry.

I am always happy with my Sugarpill purchases, I have all three Addicted to Pretty palettes which I am always using on privately booked photo-shoots. This immediately became the case with the Cold Chemistry palette. This palette is completely shimmer and is amazing. All the colors are extremely easy to blend together and with other shadows from Sugarpill, as well as with other brands.

The palette description from the Sugarpill Website:
"A luxury eyeshadow collection created in collaboration with Amelia Arsenic, designer of cult fashion and art brand A is for Arsenic London.

This dark collision of glamour and nocturnal worlds features four richly pigmented, shimmering meteoric shades which blend seamlessly together. The collection combines Amelia's dark aesthetic with Sugarpill's trademark velvety smooth eyeshadow formula."

Soot and Stars:(Vegan)
A dark grey, almost black, shimmery shadow. Very smooth and easy to blend out alone, or with other shadows.
"Metallic gunmetal with prismatic sparkle."
From the Sugarpill website.

It gets 5 hearts from me!

Diamond Eyes: (Vegan)
A opalescent white that goes on like a dream and easily softens darker shadows when blended out.
"Satin white with crystalline sheen."
From the Sugarpill website.

It gets 5 hearts from me!

Elemental Chaos:
This is my favorite color in this palette. Its a very frosty, dark lavender shadow. Very creamy and easy to blend. Mixes very well with S&S, but also DE and S. It also has tiny green and purple sparkle imbedded within the main shadow color.
"Deep grape shimmer with iridescent blue undertones."
From the Sugarpill website.

It gets 5 hearts from me!

Subterranean: (Vegan)
This is my second favorite color in the palette. This is a dark hunter, smokey green with tiny light green sparkles deep in the main color. It glides on like a dream and makes green eyes pop enormously.
"Lustrous peacock green with navy blue undertones."
From the Sugarpill website.

It gets 5 hearts from me!

You can grab this baby up for yourself here for $34.00 (USD). Don't want the whole palette? You can also by each shadow individually. Each one is $12.00 (USD).

Cha'Doe :|: Shadow of the Wolf Girl

In the fourth installment to my Halloween 2014 series I turn myself into the very thing that was beautifully modeled by Brittany Noel Linden. Cha'doe, the Shadow of the Wolf Girl. This was designed in ten minutes on location at the first photoshoot we worked on together. The photographers we worked with specially requested that I include her in my line-up and with how well we got along? It was a 'Hell yeah' from both of us.

Moanada :|: Queen of the Soul Eaters

If you've read my first two blog posts you know I was a part of a fashion show and not only designed 9 outfits but also did the model's makeup as well, with help from two of my friends. I didn't want to just leave it at that; we painted the models and they rocked it from 10am until midnight at the earliest, with some of us going out for a VERY late midnight snack at Applebee's where we hung out until 3am. So since they were such troopers, I wanted to experience what they did that day and night, so I started my Halloween series of 2014 with the Queen of the Soul Eaters makeup that was rocked by Heather.
